HOW TO USE YOUR FLASH AS A RAM ON YOUR PC
Did you know that you can use your USB Flash Drive as RAM in your Windows XP OS Computer??.. It will definitely help you to improve your Computer’s performance and speed in case you are struggling with low speed and poor performance.

HOW TO USE YOUR USB FLASH DRIVE AS RAM ON YOUR PC
Step one: Go to Start Menu–>My Computer, now right click on it. Select properties option. Now you will notice the proprieties of windows on your desktop.
Procedure:
To start with, insert your USB flash drive to your PC USB Port (I recommend the port behind the technique unit) Before continuing, make sure that USB flash drive is connected and working fine.
Step two: In properties box, go to Advanced Tab–> Settings Of Performance Section. Now a new pop up window will be open named as (Performance Options).
Step three: In Performance Options Box, go to Advanced Tab. Now click on (Alter) Button that appears on virtual memory section. Again a new box will be open named as (Virtual Memory ).
Reboot your technique, after which you will notice the alter in speed and performance of your computer
Step four: You will get details of your virtual memory in this box. In this box you need to select and set your USB Flash drive as Virtual memory. Select USB Flash Drive, click on ‘custom size’, give free space values as you require according to what is obtainable on your USB drive. Now click on (Set), then Apply your Settings .
NOTE:- Make sure your flash drive is always connected to your computer USB port.

Avoid logging in through various "Facebook widgets" offered by websites and blogs. Instead, use Facebook's homepage to sign in. Always try to use Safe Search while searching. If you do manage to get phished, Report the website so that others may get a warning before visiting it.

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR LAPTOP TO YOUR TELEVISION
You want to watch YouTube videos and web photos on your large TV
screen and is wondering if there’s an easy way to connect the laptop
computer to the TV.
Well, there are several ways to connect your computer to a Television depending on what ports are available on your PC and your TV (we used an HP Windows computer and a Sony Bravia HDTV for this example).
The
newer HDTVs and laptop computers have DVI ports so a DVI Male to Male
Cable or DVI to HDMI Adapter Cable can be used to hook the computer
display and the TV. The DVI to HDMI cable can be used when your HDTV
doesn’t have an DVI port but does have an HDMI port.
You
need a 3.5mm Mini Plug to RCA Cable Stereo to connect the audio line
out from a notebook to your TV. The red cable connector goes into the
red socket of your TV, black connector into the black socket while the
black connector goes into the 3.5mm headphone jack of your computer.
Step 3: Open the “display settings” on your Windows computer and activate the output to the TV screen. You can either mirror content of your computer on the TV or extend the display just like a dual monitor screen.
If you are using Windows 7, press the keyboard shortcut Windows + P to quickly access the display settings or search for “Connect to External Display” in the Windows Run box.
Step 4: Pick up your TV remote and switch to “External Inputs” from the menu. You will need to change the default “Video 1″ to a different selection which may be “HDMI 1″ or “Video 2″ depending on how you have made the connection.
Important: Make sure that you connect the physical cable to the TV before turning on the computer as sometimes it may fail to recognize external display. You may also need to change the screen resolution of your TV using the Display settings in your Control Panel else the picture may sometimes appear distorted.

3. You can also drag an icon to the left or right edge of the screen until it starts sliding, then drop the icon to another screen.
How to Create, Rename and Remove Folders
Other than the apps on the tray, sometimes it's difficult to quickly look for an app to open if you have many icons spreading across a few home screens. Why not create a folder to group similar apps together? It's much easier than you might think.
1. Touch and hold any icon for a second.
2. Drag the icon over the top of another. The system then automatically groups two app icons in a folder.
3. Touch the folder, then tap "Unnamed Folder", key in a name for the folder and tap "Done".
You can rename a folder at any time—tap a folder then tap its name to rename.
While the system auto creates a folder for you, it does the same to removing a folder automatically—tap a folder to expand it, then clear all grouped items inside the folder—just touch and hold, then drag them out from the folder one by one.
Note: Older Android system doesn't support this feature, but you can rely on a third-party app such as GO Launcher EXto achieve almost the same effect.
How to Type Faster with Multiple Spaces
Instead of typing a period at the end of each sentence and follow by a space, you can tap the space bar twice to get the same result.

While on the Alphabet keyboard:

How to Switch between Open Apps
When running an app, you can minimize it by simply tapping the Home icon

back to it is not just one click on the taskbar like the way you do in
Windows. But the Android way is pretty straightforward too.
1. Tap the Recent Apps icon
to reveal the apps that you recently opened. (Note 2)
2. Slide down to see more recent apps.
3. Tap a screenshot from the list to instantly switch to the app.
Note 1: You can clear the recent apps from the list by swiping them sideways one by one.
Note 2: On Android 2.x, touch and hold the Home button to reveal recent apps.
How to Close a Running App
The Android system doesn't need you to close a running app for every instance. But in some cases you may need to force stop an app that's misbehaving, or like playing a game, you may need to actually close the app in order to start a new level rather than continuing the last. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Run the Settings app and tap Apps under DEVICE.
2. Select the app you want to close.
3. Tap the 'Force stop' button and tap 'OK' to confirm.
How to Set and Clear a Default App
In Android, you can set a file to open with a certain program by default as you do in Windows. For example, if you have installed an image viewer such as QuickPic, the system will ask you to select an app when you try to open an image file (See the screenshot).
To set a default app to open the file, check 'Use by default for this action' before you tap that app.
The next time you tap an image file, it will always open with the app you've selected without asking you again.

CONVERT FAT32 TO NTFS WITHOUT FORMATTING
You have a flash drive or probably an external hard drive that currently
has FAT32 file system and you want to change it to NTFS, because FAT32
does not support handling large files (over 4GB) or it is just simply
old for your taste but there is just one problem, you don't want to lose
your saved data. This article is for you then as it explains exactly
how you can achieve seamless transition from FAT to NTFS without
involving any data loss.
While it is generally recommended to use the NTFS file system because of its stability, security and lesser defragmentation time, most of us end up using FAT32 because that is what most disks are preformatted with. Unless, we notice the “Not enough disk space error” despite disk space being available, we don't bother to change the file system. Moreover, most of us don't change it because of the risk of losing important data and lack of time (read laziness). As Microsoft was aware of this scenario, they added a capability in the command prompt to overcome this by executing a simple command. There are many software that support this too but the Convert command is one of the easiest ways to do so. Follow the steps below to know how:-
Important: While this method works perfectly, I would still advise you to backup your data in case anything goes wrong.
FAT 32 to NTFS Conversion Steps
1) Go to Computer, and note the name of the drive whose file system you wish to convert.
2) Click on Start.
3) Type cmd in the search bar if you use Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows Vista. If you use Windows XP, click on Run and then execute cmd.
4) Execute "chkdsk h: /f " (without quotes) where H is the letter of the drive to undergo conversion. This checks the drive for errors and fixes them automatically.
5) Execute "Convert H: /FS:NTFS" (without quotes). H is again the letter of the drive to be converted.
6) The command prompt will start the conversion process and after a few minutes, CMD will say that conversion was successful.
7) You can check it in the properties of the drive through right click<Properties.
This works on Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 8 and Windows Vista. I converted my flash drive's file system using these steps and it worked flawlessly. It is interesting to note that this method cannot be used to reconvert NTFS file system back to FAT32. HOW TO FORMAT AN APPLE LAPTOP
Mac OS X 10.6 is the default operating system used on current Apple-built desktops and laptops. If you have a laptop that uses Mac OS X 10.6 and want to format it for a fresh start or to install a new hard drive, the format process works differently from Windows operating systems. You will have to format your hard drive containing Mac OS X by using the installation disc. You can format other drives from within the operating system.
Items you will need
Mac OS X 10.6 installation disc
Format from Installation Disc
Step 1
Insert the install disc into your laptop's optical media drive and restart the computer.
Step 2
Hold the "C" or "Options" key as the laptop boots.
Step 3
Set your language and then select the "Utilities" menu on the next screen.
Step 4
Select the hard drive to format from the menu on the left of the screen. According to Apple Support, this hard drive is usually labeled "Macintosh HD."
Step 5
Click the "Erase" tab. At the "Volume Format" prompt, leave the option as "Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)" unless you're installing an operating system that requires another setup. Name the hard drive and confirm that you want to format.
Step 6
Exit Utility Manager after the drive has been formatted. From this point you can install another operating system.
Formatting from Hard Drive
Step 1
Open your main hard drive.
Step 2
Choose "Applications" and then "Utilities."
Step 3
Open "Disk Utility."
Step 4
Click the drive you want to format and then click the "Erase" tab.
Step 5
Select the volume format, name the drive and then confirm the erase.
Warnings
Back up all data you intend to save. Formatting the hard drive removes all data, including the operating system.
